There are so many reasons to want to celebrate the people that make a difference in your life. Sometimes, however, it can be a bit difficult to show that appreciation, especially with everyone needing to tighten their spending nowadays. Here’s a list of indulgent gifts that will allow you to give someone the gift of pampering themselves.
There’s nothing like a nice, long, relaxing soak in a tub after a long day of work. These days, bath salts are a great way for you to add essential oils and aromatherapy to your ‘me’ time. You can typically purchase them at stores that specialize in soaps and bath products, our you can buy bath salts online and have them delivered to your front door. Most companies will offer to have them packaged in nice bottles or cans, but where’s the fun in that? I typically just buy bags of bath salts and then fill them in bottles and containers that I decorate myself. This adds a special personal flair to the present, and I’m sure that anyone who receives one will appreciate the effort that you put into them.
I know that there are some pampering gifts that I receive that never get used. They get put on a shelf and forgotten, collecting dust and wishful glances until they expire. You don’t want to give them something that they’re just going to have to throw away, so drag your buddy to the spa! If you can’t spare the time in your busy schedule, then a gift card for a day spa, or even just a trip to the nail salon can brighten up your day and make you feel like a million bucks! The important thing is to make sure that you find out what kind of pampering the person that you’re getting the present for like, and make sure that you tailor the gift to their needs.
I tend to be pretty ‘do-it-yourself’ because I think that the attention and effort that you place into something shows in the final product. It’s really easy to go online and get a soap-making kit and supplies. This allows me to make soaps that smell great and that help moisturize your skin, and the best part is that the kits usually yield several bars of soap, meaning that you can wrap and store any soap that you aren’t going to be using right away and have a handy stash of presents that can be given for any occasion! It’s also really fun to do with the little ones (if you have them), so you can turn your day of appreciating others into a fun family activity!
Just remember to also take a little bit of time to pamper yourself as well. Stresses of the modern day grind can be overwhelming, and even though altruism is a virtue that is said to keep you young, making sure that you don’t run yourself ragged. So don’t worry, treat yourself!
